At the rear of the pub we have our campsite, its basic but many campers tell us they like that. We have a limited number of hook up points and a water tap,
There is an adjacent shower and toilet block.
Dogs are allowed on site provided they are kept on a lead and their “pooh” removed.
We offer 10% discount for campers taking meals and drinks together, when you stay at the Blacksmiths arms campsite.
We are often asked about campsite prices. Our prices for up to two adults and up to two children is £12 per night per pitch. Otherwise £5 per person per night. Electric hook up £3 per night if required.
We chose this site because it was our first time away in our first ever caravan and we didn't want to travel too far. Lovely little site, basic but very clean toilet/ shower block, kids play area and plenty of walks for the dog. It's a small site which I imagine in the summer is very busy but its really well kept and although on a road we didn't hear any traffic. Landlord is a very pleasant man and very easy going. We had an evening meal in the pub which was superb, proper homemade steak and kidney pie! Lady who served us was lovely and kept the kids entertained with ghost stories. The night flat rate with electric hook up was reasonable,we thought it was a bargain! Will be using again.
Needed to find a stopover after dropping off our son in Cardiff. Found this small site behind the Blacksmiths Arms from visiting uk campsite. What a little gem of a site. Tucked away behind the pub, virtually flat field with a few hook-ups and a small but clean and tidy toilet block. We were one of only 2 units on the site, but can imagine it getting quite full during the holiday season. Quite an in-formal site too.
We parked up and hooked-up and had a quick brew before taking the dog for a walk (she stayed free!). As it was Sunday afternoon at the start of September, it was very quiet, one assumes all families were back home. The charge including electric hook up was small, so a bargain in our eyes. We have this marked down for future visits.
P. S. The pub food and ale were very good and the prices were reasonable with locally sourced food, well worth the stay.
